The Joy of Working Together for a Blessed Christmas!

Our team has been working joyously and passionately to prepare more than 3,000 Christmas gift packs for the children of Nazareth, as well as the multitudes of visitors from all over Israel, who will be attending Nazareth’s spectacular annual Christmas Parade. It is an absolute privilege for us to serve the people of Israel this Christmas, and to reveal to them that Jesus is the Messiah of Israel!

This event is an event like no other in Israel, with Israelis from all walks of life, and from a wide variety of backgrounds, coming to see what Christmas is all about. Christmas is basically non-existent in Israel, and as such, Israelis are very curious to learn more about it. This is an amazing opportunity for us to share the love of Jesus, the Gospel message, and to boldly proclaim that “Jesus is the Reason for the Season!”

On the 24th of December, we will be participating in the annual Christmas parade that will pass through Nazareth’s downtown area. It forms part of a large Christmas festival with many markets, events, and celebrations taking place in Nazareth. Many organizations and churches will be participating in the parade to express their love for the Lord and for the people of Nazareth.

This parade serves as an incredibly effective platform for HomeJTK in sharing the Gospel and the message that Jesus is the Reason for the Season with multitudes of people. The fact that both Christmas and Hanukkah will fall on the same day this year, means that thousands of Arabs and Jews will both be visiting Nazareth this year while being exposed to the Gospel message and the knowledge that Jesus was born into this world to set the captives free. We want all these people to be blessed with the Good News that “Jesus is the Reason for the Season!”

For this parade, we will be decorating a big truck with Christmas decorations and angels and loading it up with more than 3000 gift packs for the children! My team and I will be walking alongside the truck, handing out the gift packs to the parents and their children, and sharing the Good News that Jesus is the Reason for the Season. These gift packs will bring these children so much joy, and will serve as a tangible reminder that Jesus Christ loves them and that He came to earth to give them life, and life more abundantly!

This parade has been a wonderful success over the years, and many families have been impacted by this gesture of generosity and love from Home of Jesus the King Church. Kindness and goodwill aren’t just an expression of the Christmas season and what it represents, but it’s also God’s own character manifested in the ways that He loves and provides.

It’s not always about the reward or the blessing that follows the giver (which is a biblical law). Still, sometimes it’s simply about displaying God’s own qualities and character through our actions: helping for the sake of helping, and loving because He first loved us.

We give not because we get something in return, but simply because we’re givers because it’s God’s nature in us. Could there be a better representation of Christmas than showing generosity, kindness and goodwill towards those who are less fortunate than us?

Would you prayerfully consider donating $10 to supply one child with a special gift pack this Christmas? Or even 10 children for $100? Perhaps your church would even go so far as to sponsor 100 children for $1000?

Your support will help us build bridges between Jews and Arabs, share the joy and peace that Christ has brought upon this world, and boldly proclaim the message that Jesus is the reason for the season!

Thank you and God bless!
